Just to clear this up once and for all, and I did right the ASX to clear this up,
you see I spoke to the company, the broker and even the registry office who really had no idea, the ASX approve the dates so I rang them
To qualify for the rights issue you had to be a holder the day before it went ex, if you sold on ex date you still qualifies, and therefore if you bought on ex date or after you did not.
That is the reason it cleared the orders before trade on ex date.
the record date is very misleading and means little.
the ex date is all that matters,
