As long as you have your bank detail up to date before the refund you should be all good. You need to check with your broker. In my case i am with Commonwealth securities which is linked to my CBA account so all good.
But if you are with someone else, you need to make sure they have correct bank details.
You would have received a CHESS holding statement after you purchased your shares, the CHESS sponsor will be listed on that towards the top right of the page.
I have heard of it taking 2-3 weeks for cheque's to get back. But have no experience with that personally.
