Uranium is 1000x more abundant in the earths crust than Gold. Traces of it can be found almost everywhere on the planet, including sea water. In it's natural state of mainly U238 which you can safely handle without gloves on, unless you ingest or inject it you're not going to start glowing in the dark. If the Greenland Government want to shut down any mining that will dig up a few parts per million of Uranium there will realistically be no mining in Greenland.
