The AFL has manipulated the system to the point where teams are built from the bottom up, and if you spend enough time there and are fortunate enough to strike it rich with quality number 1 draft picks, you can build a dynasty.
Brisbane did it, St Kilda are now doing it, and believe me Carlton will do it. Judd's window is 5 years, fevola the same, within two years of the next 5, MURPHY, GIBBS, KRUEZER, WALKER and YARRAN will be SUPERSTARS!
The only thing stopping carlton from it's 17th flag within the next 24 months is their COACH, should they remove the "old Boys" mentality and bring in a respected proven coach, the sky would be the limit.
GIBBS has the most potential of the lot, he has time poise and precision and one of the best football brains. He IS rated highest of the lot at the club!
Should they finish 4th, St.kilda will meet them in rd 1, probably not their preferred choice, considering it will be their first big game at the "G", the blues have the pace to strech their zone defensive pressure!
ANYTHING can happen in finals!
