Trolls on Hot Copper

There are a few trolls here that are bordering on the edge of libel. Criticism of a post content is fair game and there are many varied and conflicting opinions and I have no objection to someone rubbishing a post of mine. i am happy to return in kind. However I do object.to someone that tells deliberate lies that are designed as character assination. Putting an offender on ignore does not stop an offender as he/she continues to publish lies while one is not aware this is continuing and you are unable to respond and correct the information.

There are a few ways this could be managed. The best way would be for HC to require everyone to post under a system where their identity is disclosed. I ask Hot Copper to give this serious consideration.

The other way out is for litigation. This is one I am seriously considering. I am serving notice on one that has persisted even though I had him on ignore. I have just checked and find there are a few posts that i should have replied to but not aware of their content. It seems that if this poster does not agree with someone his easy way out is to cry "liar, liar liar" and, because he knows my identity and the company that I am involved with he targets those lies.

Rubbish my opinions all you like but tell lies and false information and expect serious actions.
