The reality is that China is miles ahead of the rest of the pack. Europe & The USA have beaten their chest recently, but still fail to secure raw material supply.
The likely scenario is the majority of the proposed gigafactories in the EU won't be procuring raw materials directly, they will be getting their LiOH & Li2CO3 from converters such as Ganfeng & others
