I'm actually wondering just HOW the IDG announcement could be a trigger for the defeating condition? The IDG announcement for the acquisition of the Kitongo Project was on 30th June. The announcement by BIV of the takeover bid was on 28th July.

The defeating condition states that no announcements should be made AFTER the takeover bod announcement - but this was BEFORE it!

I remain very puzzled by the games these guys are playing.

Rogues... the new directors would simply sell off the gold prospects, get all the money, and put the company into liquidation. It's been done many, many times before. Yes, it's illegal to asset-strip, but smart operators have many ways around this that skirt the fringes of legality.

I've been around plenty long enough to have seen it done before.

I'm still not clear as to the strategy of the new mob, but if they are such strong believers in IDG that they want their guys on the board, why withdraw the takeover? And why only 10% anyway?

The dates on those announcements has me very puzzled - I think a phone call or two may be in order!
