@diligent; one of the reasons I don't succumb to depression is because I aim to think through issues. I'm happy for others to provide alternative suggestions and have no reservations with taking such on board or if my suggestions are dismissed as rubbish.

If I was in Berejiklian's shoes at the moment I'd be taking a big step backwards to get a fresh perspective on where NSW now finds itself. I don't have access to what's available to her but relative to what Victorians experienced throughout our long second wave I perceive that NSW has to address the issues below fast and hard:

    1. Fatigue, stress and burnout - they're root causes of mental health issues, non-compliance and systemic failure
    2. Changing rules and restrictions - people cannot keep up with what's expected of them & it's too complex
    3. Clear, concise and frank messaging - people want to know what they're facing and in a crisis they don't want waffle and political spin.
    4. Financial support - eight weeks into lockdown and support still to come through ... sheeesh! Just get it done!
