In regards your FIRST sentence above - That's exactly it isn't it . To call out ' Bad Calls ' like in the case of the 10.5 cent retrace which was supposed to happen today......or the claims that the DOW has ' Crashed ' because it has lost a meagre point 75 of a percentage point.
So I think you are right in calling out what perhaps some had taken out based on some posters opinions with respect to the SPP.
And so in my opinion , there are no prizes for getting the SPP over subscription scale-backs correct , as the main thing to have realized early on is that they will be giving more, and so it was best to get your application in towards the higher end of your own expectations and financial ability..
Some on the forum actually got that point , and perhaps took the punt whereas most were downplaying it and telling everyone it was a waste of time applying.
For me it was a case as always of l looking closely into the numbers which I had been doing and tracking ever since the Annual Report back in 2020. I ended up sharing this information , but again I consider it valueless as a prize when measured up and compared against getting the Share Price calls correct.
I think the biggest thing people don't realize about this raising is , is the obvious connections to what has been previously described now as a ' Growth Stock ' , and ' Growth Story ' and so had they of thought more along the lines of the SPP @ 7.5 cents being more of a bonus share opportunity given being given to them , they may have indeed acted differently. And I say this because for a good part of last year and this year , the average holding balance was somewhere's around the absolute amount of 200,000 - 250,000. So at 7.5 cents when the share price is 14.0 or 15.0 cents is more attuned to giving shareholders a ' Bonus ' Free ' share for every 2 held of their average holding balances.
So the important ' symmetries ' here to have picked up on are would have been to first recognize that the Sayona Stock Price is now more a ' Growth ' stock as against a mere explorer trying to prove up its FIRST JORC resource.
Because it has virtually gone from pretty much that when it was valued at less than $30 million in December 2020 to now being on the cusp of fast tracked mining production as well as HydroMet conversion ' ready to go ' facility valued at + $700 million ( which is still very low ) .......And ALL of this from not just ONE JORC defined resource .....but now TWO.
