A 80w solar panel (Sharp) costs $500-$900 retail (12.5% efficiency). Say these are approx 1 square metre.

Corus steel sheet (per square metre) = Corus steel sheet cost + Corus DYE manufacturing and royalty + DYE revenue of $75 = something probably much less than $500.

The DYE $75 is revenue not profit. DYE will probably outsource large scale material manufacture to support any large scale success by Corus.

Note that silicon solar panels work great in direct sunlight. They are very good when you get clouds, haze, shade/shadows, etc.
