As a former corrosion scientist, this is basically a disaster. It could have been anticipated knowing the chemistry of the water, temperatures and pressures plus type of steel used. The data is well known. The solution is to either change the water chemistry by additive addition, which may not be feasible due to reservoir dilution or replace ALL the casings on ALL the wells with a hydrogen embrittlement resistant material, and this probably means drilling new wells.
I have been a long term holder but am out now at a significant loss. Still have PAX and I hope they have given consideration to this problem.
