Why don't you read the prospectus. It's in there. You don't need to spend anything on the demerger. You will get, gratis, 1 widgie share for every 4.218 NMT shares you own.
And once that's done you will then have the opportunity to participate in a non-renounceable pro rata entitlement offer of Widgie Nickel Shares at an issue price of $0.20 on the basis of 1 new Widgie Nickel Share for every 0.923 Widgie Nickel Share held.
I'll do the maths for you - say you have 10,000 NMT. You will get 2370 Widgie shares for free.
You can then apply for 2568 Widgie shares in the entitlement offer at $0.20 per share.
I don't know why I'm doing this. The more people don't understand the better for those that do!!
DYOR never applies as much as it does in this example.
