I may have this all wrong. But surely a sort of silent auction could be organised if it comes to this.
As you said it would be a bad move to make public any bids, which if low could depress the price.
I am not knowledgable enough about the rules and regs here.
But in simple terms, sealed bids, rather like auctioning a large property?
