I feel like there is a myth being perpetuated by overly optimistic HCers that the Chip is now 10x (i.e. an order of magnitude) better. This is not the case.

Rather, one characteristic impacting performance has been improved ten times. This is deceptive. Performance has improved but we don't know by how much.



I am sure multiple variables impact on the read speed of he chip (see below). The question for all the guys with connections to the industry and / or sufficient working knowledge of this area is: how important is cell-onresistance and what does an order of magnitude improvement translate to in terms of improvements of read speed.

I suspect the improvement is indeed significant but I very much doubt it is a 1:1 improvement.
