Agree. There was so much concern about theft and shrinkage and at the end of the day, thieves are thieves. If theyre going to steal, theyll dp it throughh manned or unmanned checkout either way. Turned out the cost savings on labour not having people man the checkouts was way higher than any extra shrinkage of someone being tempted to put through mangos as spuds.

if the trend in supermarkets of cutting out as much labour as possible no matter what continues, tech like this will be what makes it possible. Hopefully we're in the mix when the ball gets rolling.
