mutations can go either way.
Delta variant = more highly transmissible and killing young and old.
Spanish flu had more than one variant AND the second wave was a KILLER.
Are you gambling on waiting for a less deadly variant before taking a vaccine?
Those are desperate odds. The problem is the Delta variant of the virus is getting out of control in NSW and could spread throughout Australia.
Also you'e confusing effectiveness with total absence of symptoms. Not the same. That's what the % ages are about. How many have zero symptoms.
Both AZ and Pfizer will almost certainly keep you out of hospital, and it's keeping the hospital system from being overloaded that's the issue here.
Without the vaccine most people might live. BUT the ones in serious danger will only survive IF they get the right medical care.
Overload the hospital system and find out how true that is?
The NSW system is ALREADY under strain!
I don't like your kind of gambles.
I've had my 2 jabs of AZ awhile ago and I'm betting that it's insurance. It's not wishful thinking hoping the virus will mutate into a less deadly form. It can do the opposite. Research, not hope. It works for investing too.
