I don't see any price manipulation, XT's are simply share trades executed between two customers from the same brokerage, it happens all the time with the larger brokerages such as comsec.

The reason share prices fall on good announcements, is that the announcement was already reasonably expected in the course of currently known information. For share prices to rise on good announcements they to be blindside announcements that were not reasonably expected in the course of currently known information.

Consider a gold miner first finds gold and the share price rallies, next month they find more gold and the share price falls, this is because it was reasonably expected that there would be more gold if they kept drilling. So a newbie may wonder why did the share price fall when they found gold, the newbie missed the first announcement and share price was already reflecting the gold find. The pros or lucky first were already in and needed a rush of newbies to sell to, in order to extract top dollar from their investment.

That is the psychology of announcements if you did not already know, the golden rule is to only and always buy on blindside announcements then sell into the next so called great announcement that is actually only just an extension of the previously known information.

These bars were already known to exist and was it reasonably expected that they would be put on Woolworths shelves, a blindside announcement now would be something like they sold so well that they could not keep up with demand. lets hope that happens. GLAH
