Got to agree dodds, whilst there was some excitement around (understandably), I think most qualified their thoughts with the risk of Shell walking away. All of us still must do our own research, as at the end of the day we can't blame anyone but ourselves for our investment decisions.

I'll admit, I was daydreaming of rolling in the piles of cash won from a positive announcement this week. But it was always a speculative investment; if it was a sure thing then everyone would be on it already and there'd be little to gain. That's where the risk vs reward kicks in.

To those who were burnt, I'm very sorry for you, but you've now learnt a lesson (hopefully not too expensive).

To those who continue to hold, I honestly believe this is not the end of the play for FAR or Senegal. The world is capital constrained, and Shell would have had to include that in it's decision making. There may be other suitors more inclined to spend some cash in vastly unexplored territory, which will crank this all up yet again.

I continue to hold, as my own opinion and research says there is still money to be made in this company.
