The facts of the matter are clear on the CDC website in the United States that over 50% of animals died in the animal trials of these vaccines, which would normally indicate that such vaccines are not suitable for human consumption.

I’m calling BS on this. There are two myths about animal trials that I hear repeated by vaccine opposers– the first claims that no animal trials were conducted for the COVID vaccines and the other claims that the animals in the trials died from the vaccines.

Pre-clinical animal testing was conducted for all of the COVID vaccines – variously, in mouse, ferret, hamster and monkey models. What’s more, the results of those studies have been published in peer-reviewed journals.

There were no adverse safety events in the vaccinated animals, which demonstrated immune response and protection from the virus. On the other hand, the control (unvaccinated) animals didn’t fare so well–for example, as reported in the J & J hamster trial, the unvaccinated hamsters demonstrated marked weight loss, severe pneumonia and partial mortality.

I’ve provided links to some of the published research below – the list is not exhaustive.

Astra Zeneca Monkeys, Mice and Ferrets

Pre-clinical (animal) trials were conducted in rhesus macaques, mice and ferrets. These trials showed that there were no adverse safety events, no evidence of immune enhanced inflammatory disease and a balanced immune response was induced.

    J & J (Janssen) Hamsters, Monkeys

In this study, we demonstrated that a single immunization of an Ad26 vector encoding a full-length prefusion stabilized S immunogen (S.PP) protected against severe clinical disease after high-dose SARS-CoV-2 challenge in hamsters. Sham controls demonstrated marked weight loss, severe pneumonia and partial mortality. In contrast, vaccinated animals showed minimal weight loss and pneumonia and no mortality. Vaccine-elicited binding and neutralizing antibody responses correlated with protection against clinical disease as well as reduced virus replication in the upper and lower respiratory tract.
