I fear that you're correct. The market is showing that it can strongly ignore blatant reality around it for very long periods of time and it could do so again when Qantas announce what will surely be horrific financial results that make it clear that they'll need to raise capital via equity or debt soon.

We're certainly living in very strange times when things like this can happen. It goes to show how little critical thinking takes place out when herd mentality kicks in. To think that not one world leader thought of blocking flights from China in late 2019 (when it was apparent that there was a virus that was out of control there) is another example of how few people question objective idiocy that's taking place in front of their faces if nobody else does. Bizarre.
