BHP dont need to takeover WSA but easily could counter bid if they wanted to.

I think BHP already have it covered, Its called OFFTAKE.

BHP nor AF have any real interest in a takeover of WSA imho.
I think AF will flip it and make it more expensive so as to get his $30M bonus imho.

BHP will get the offtake come what may, they are already behind IGO now anyway & will get the Cosmos offtake and tolling as Mt Keith is right next door.
BHP dont need to spend $1.2B trumping IGO or AF at all.
They control 50% of IGO offtake
    and 50% of WSA offtake
and will move to take Jinchuan out from WSA offtake & take all of the Cosmos offtake.
And IGO will gladly give it to them imho as its good for both of them & way cheaper to toll at Mt Keith.

BHP is really behind this IGO move imho.

BHP might be more interested in a takeover of IGO MCR POS & any junior with large JORC, large milling infrastructure & existing mine declines that can produce near term or has large resource tenements, thats where the real value is.

BHP needs higher grade low impurity ore for its hungry tolling mills, refinery & smelters to meet the Tesla supply deal fast.

WSA will be talked up for the coming weeks as traders & INSTOs exit at the highs and IGO takes a stranglehold on WSA. Best to wait and see the SOA or bid terms first imho.
