So BHP makes WSA an offer it can't refuse...for their nickel. A very attractive offtake deal. Much smarter than getting in a ridiculous bidding duel for the whole company.
Good for WSA but no takeover and smart for BHP in the event Odysseus doesn't work (it's freakin deep), remembering it's high cost and therefore super leveraged to Ni price. It could go down you know.
IGO has a mine life problem coming so needs longevity which WSA brings with Odysseus (if it works) but the bid smacks of desperation.
Make no mistake, Bradford would be fielding some very negative pushback on this corporate move. Sirius was not well received at all, for good reason...he paid far too much.
