I agree it is not a vital issue - its just that the dividend is a payout in the very short term - why not keep what little capital they have and save the cost of drawing on their funding position - its generally seen as not good financial practice. I am keen to receive dividends just like any other holder but not just for the sake of keeping me happy at the expense of a safer position.
