I did not say that at all. Just so clarify any misunderstanding, let me re-phrase what I said. No reputable bourse (securities exchange) is going to allow Animoca to list if it cannot produce audited reports for the past two years. They need to set their horse ahead of their cart before they can contemplate any listing is my suggestion. I'm no expert on any of this, but I can't see how they could produce a prospectus that would satisfy any stock exchange without being able to provide audited financials. Again I am no expert, so my assumption might be false here, but any such prospectus, application for listing might also need to be filed and approved by ASIC? Dunno.

Let's not forget that the shares have not been issued to the investors of the last capital raising round yet. Animoca might be punching the lights out in terms of doing business and raising funding but they have to comply with the law and all ordinary shareholders rank equal and are entitled to audited books and to vote on the composition of the board amongst other things. There needs to be an EGM to approve the issuing of the shares from that last round of capital raisings. Documents will need to be lodged with ASIC and the law will need to be followed.

I'm often too busy to worry about doing my GST or tax return, and the accountant annoys me, but at some stage I get the "don not ignore this letter" letter from the ATO. That's just an analogy for the fact that you can't avoid compliance forever. I'm just running a private company the only thing I have to do with ASIC is pay the damned fee each year, but Animoca Brands is a public limited company and there is a whole lot of company law they have to comply with. One day they will have to comply or else the company directors are going to have to rely upon the directors liability insurance.
