I deal in China.. JV. with a Chinese tech companies. So you are not alone.
Just because you live somewhere doesn't mean its easy and you don't need a plan and an escort through the system when you are a business.
This has got nothing to do with trade numbers with Australia. Its the CCP rules, and given you live there, you would know what life is like on a VPN.
And you would also know things can change just like that ... as they did with imports ...
And you would know the restrictions and the rules well enough.
