Some comments regarding the Powerbox stability and performance:

As I was interested in the technology and market potential I was in contact with the Operations Manager at one energy company (EEM) where Opcon installed their first Powerbox unit (Feb 2008). I contacted him serveral times during a year. During the whole testing he was very pleased with the Powerbox technology and he said that it actually produced more electricity than Opcon expected.

The installation was a piece of cake according to him. The unit sits in a standard container outside the actual building and they "just had to connect the pipes".

When it was up and running they had no real issues with the unit. Initially one supporting component broke down, nothing in the central unit. It was some hydraulics that got too high pressure, but after that it ran very smoothly. It needs maintenance like a normal large cooling unit he said.

During a couple of months Opcon run various test with various temperatures, mixtures of input media and according to his knowledge everything went really well.
