Other people though it’s very difficult to make ends meet on one income now, it should be clear to you from the graph above just based on housing costs alone.

It almost seems that since women have entered the work force in large numbers housing prices also increased dramatically during that time.
Sometimes I wonder if wives didn’t work house prices might be 30% cheaper so they wouldn’t need to have gone to work anyway….

The point that I was trying to make is that people today want more living space than they need......and don't mention the extra cars (hardly ever used) that are parked on the streets.
