while I aggree that apt/zip can still be used at amazon, and an affiliate fee gained, users of apt/zip will have to be shopping with the intention of paying via their bnpl before getting to the checkout.

whereas now affirm will be capturing users who begun their shop with the intention of using bnpl

PLUS

oportunistic affrim users who only decided to use affirm once reaching the checkout and seeing the payment option.

sadly for apt/zip will miss out on a large amount of sales due to the lack of prompted opportunistic users with a lack of visual options at checkout.

for now we can only hope that companies like amazon/shopify eventually add more than one bnpl option.

im stunned amazon with their history of owning each step in the process of their business didnt start their own bnpl or buy an existing one.
