Usually the only times i scalp is when im indecisive as to market direction or im bored and want to play :)))
Scalping and then holding because you think you are nailing a good turn is AAF

Find the set up on the larger time frame and then play with getting your entry with as little risk as possible using a smaller timeframe.

Eg: 4hourly says buy ,zip into the 30 minute and try and get a better entry, if not its still within your parameters
Eg: Weekly is a buy, try the daily for a sweeter entry level
