first of all welcome aboard
as far as hospitals go - China will probably always be Truscreens biggest customer, its where Truscreen is currently running large (Government owned hospitals) trials, and a quick google search tells us that there are about 34,000 hospitals in China, so the opportunity is very big.
Can we expect another $1m in sales in the next 12 months? -- well I hope it will be more, I don't have a crystal ball, but hope it would be a lot more than $1m, given that trials should soon be concluded I am hoping that the Chinese Gov't will view the Truscreen devise as the best solution for cervical screening in china ( per test it is after all, lower price, portable, overall more accurate, and faster than other screening methods )
Truscreen has two income streams
1. the Truscreen device - but its a one off sale to each Hospital, however some hospitals have more than one devise. - please note that the company has not given us an exact sale price on these as it is commercially sensitive as the price may vary a bit from one market or customer to another, but the company has indicated during one of the annual general meetings that it is somewhere getting close to US $10,000 per unit.
2. then there is the ongoing revenue as each test requires a disposable single use sensor, the average devise uses about 150 of these per month, but some hospitals have used upto around 1500 per month.
once again the company has never disclosed exact sale price, but most years they have stated how many they have sold and how much revenue they have earned from the single use sensors so using a bit of math, my best estimate is that the sale price is somewhere around US$6 to $7per sensor.
( the above information on single use sensors I have worked out from past annual reports ) as far as margins go I have not worked that one out but I would expect that being a medical devise that it could be quite high.
