As countries the UK and Italy are nothing like Sweden. The UK has a population density 11 times that of Sweden and Italy's is 8 times that of Sweden. Sweden is however directly comparable to its near neighbours in Norway, Finland and Denmark I referenced earlier.
Response wise Sweden lost its tourists big time as neighbouring countries banned travel. Regardless as to restrictions there was hardly anyone on Swedish streets after the first wave of C19 hit home and people ducked for cover.
But for Sweden still to experience similar death rates to the UK and Italy at that time was appalling and even shocked Sweden's government in calling on its people to 'voluntarily' take precautions.
Sweden has been a model of bad practice who's one saving grace is a higher vaccination rate than what Morrison has delivered: 1 Jab 67% // Full 53% versus Australia: 1 Jab 46% // Full 26.6%
