I just watched the documentary on sbs last night. It was written before delta.
It stated Herd immunity wont apply until about 97 % vaccination or infection levels are reached.( assumes R0 of 4, vax efficiency of 77 odd percent )
Australia will spend all of next year getting to that level so a lot more tests will need to happen.
but we know delta has an r0 of more than 4 if no restrictions are in place.
