We need a circuit-breaker. Vaccinations are going to take way too long and their major benefit appears to be to prevent serious infections in most, but not all people (some people still get very sick). The Israeli experience has shown that vaccinated individuals can still be infected and have a high viral load, yet have only experience minor symptoms or worse, be asymptomatic. It means that we could have carriers acting as 'Typhoid Marys' and spreading the virus to others while happily remaining healthy themselves. A key way to prevent this is to have Anteo's sensitive RAT testing before point of entry at events/schools/hospitals and other healthcare settings. The other thing we need is rapid adoption of existing effective and safe treatments by GPs etc. I hope people will listen to this pioneering scientist:
It's as if no one wants to let the cat out of the bag that there is an effective treatment already, for fear of reducing vaccine take-up. That's not fair for our elderly, people with co-morbidities and 12-year old+ kids who are being unnecessarily being exposed to experimental vaccines. If we can keep the infection rate down with a combination of the prophylactic triple therapy treatment and regular RAT testing, we can open up the country well before we achieve these completely unrealistic 80+% vaccine thresholds, which are unachievable without coercion, IMHO.
