As I have commented on the ARN threads, I find their management a bit flighty. For all the excitement about their announcement that there is the potential of world class rubidium deposit on the small block they hold I remain unmoved. From what I can see the global demand for rubidium is a couple thousand kg a year. There may be a rubidium mine in China but for the most part supply is fed from byproduct from lithium mining. The fact that the pure form of the stuff sells for huge dollars is not so much due to demand pushing up the price as to the difficulty in refining what is a highly unstable metal and a lack of scale.

The announcement was based on assay results from holes drilled forty years ago and my understanding is that the original purpose of the drilling campaign that is scheduled to kick off in about a month's time on the block was to do with lithium, not ribidium. The boss of Aldoro talks a big game, good luck to him, but I'd rather wait for what the drill bit says.

As for Gascoyne, they are still in the fight of (for) their lives. It's great that their plant is so efficient that they can turn a profit even with very low grade ore. But they are just not getting fair value out of the mill that way. I would prefer all their efforts be focused on proving up some better quality ore in the vicinity of the mill (while they wait for the higher grade stuff that Firefly may deliver).
