A pal is in high-end imported food wholesaling, mainly cheese. Restaurants are dead, but the delis and supermarkets are pumping, more than compensating for the losses.
People are bored out of their brains under Covid, cant eat out or travel and are indulging in little luxuries. I would say domestic salmon sales are doing very well, but the physical limits on exports are really hurting.
It looks like most restrictions will be raised end September. For TGR, air cargo capacity is key, so keep an eye on international travel volumes.
The TGR freezer is full, ready to stuff every outbound flight with large salmon.
The reopening benefits for prawns, where exports command higher prices than domestic sales, are even more compelling.
