Last night panel discussion was very objective.
JP said, brine lithium chloride concentrates can be directly produced to lithium metals for solid state batteries.
This is a big advantage for GLN as HMW’s lithium chloride (LiCl) concentrate was tested to reach 6% Li (32% LCE, 12.9% Li2O). Selling concentrates could be a great option to fast tracking to market with significantly less capex, then self funding a chemical plant if still around, imo.

Emily asked JP, “Are you selling to Ganfeng?”.
JP replied, We are a publicly listed company, open to the world, if a deal makes commercial sense, it could, however, we’d like to take it to production first.


I share frustration in relation to our very recent share price movement, but I did expect 2 to 3 weeks consolidation to happen, many CR stocks did same, like VUL, CR at $6.40, dropped to low $5, then rode to $15.
Few institutions took profit, but most volume traded via UBS, just buys and sells, bots were very active. I think it’s an institution player now, only time can beat them.

In the meantime, lithium carbonate price continues to rise, currently is surpassing US$17,000/t.
Retest historical high of ~US$27,000/t is likely.




China's Ganfeng, Dongfeng sign solid-state battery deal

China's state-controlled automaker Dongfeng has signed an agreement with domestic lithium battery producer Jiangxi Ganfeng Lithium Battery to develop, promote and demonstrate the viability of Dongfeng's E70 solid-state battery model.
"Ganfeng will work with Dongfeng's technology centre to promote the industrialisation of new solid-state battery technology," Ganfeng Lithium chairman Li Liangbin said recently.
Ganfeng Lithium will continue to expand its output of solid-state batteries from an existing 1GWh capacity within this year to support Dongfeng's new energy developments.
