I'm in a similar boat. I sold just under 11c but shifted proceeds immediately into other U names because I didn't want to miss on the action that was about to arrive from Sprott's ATM. So this has spared me from any FOMO.

Here's why I sold: my thesis was based on the ability of Mike Young to bring an asset into production. With Mike gone, that thesis was gone. The disappearance of Julian Tapp has confirmed my decision—he was the one with the permitting know-how and family connections.

Why is the stock rocketing? I'm not convinced it's related to an impending takeover. Would seem to be too expensive. John Borshoff left it about a year too late to do his M&A, IMO. U prices have now got away from him. More likely the reason stock price is going up is because VMY is one of the smallest stocks held by URA and URNM. So as money pours into this funds there is indiscriminate buying. If things have gone pear shaped at VMY then their timing couldn't be more perfect... the rising tide will ensure the Vimy boat gets lifted even with bad news.

In the short to medium term I expect that Mulga rock won't go ahead, but rising U prices will mean that Vimy holders do OK anyway as just a NT explorer. Maybe will get taken over once bad Mulga news comes out and SP drops a little.

Of course I could be completely wrong, but I'm happy to enjoy my U gains elsewhere for now. Good luck to all who are sticking around.
