the idea of grid power is a misassumption. Technology has now delivered the concept of clean & free energy. Every house and business can create clean & free energy. You must invest accordingly, nickel, lithium and graphite. They are the commodities that will be swallowed up making this transition: Grid energy well that’s as good as extinct.
Science has found a way to make materials smart.
It’s one thing to invest in a broken business yet a totally different thing to invest in a broken business in a broken industry. As an ex-AGL (well still holding a few unfortunately) holder I’ve never felt better knowing that I sured up my finances by exiting this before the entire ship goes under.
The only value AGL has is when they dig up their copper power lines and sell them as scrap metal.
AGL is the new blockbuster, they sat on their hands whilst the world changed around em, all they have left is token gestures, but unfortunately the bed has been made and now they have to lay in it.
The could ofs, should ofs, well that’s sailed. The boats have left the harbour and well there is nothing AGL can do to bridge the gap.
Nothing left for AGL except burning coal, something the entire world said no to. AGL only has one shot for survival and that is 10 cent per kilowatt plans powered by nuclear energy, but that will never happen. As good as solar is, Australians still put the hip pocket first, if AGL can deliver 10 cent kilowatt plans they will murder the solar revolution but unfortunately I think that chance was 2 years ago.
You can’t blame a company AGL was a bohemian, but as investors we need to take ownership of our finances. We can’t be oblivious to the obvious. Trillions of dollars are moving into the free clean energy whilst AGL sit status quo, I can only blame myself for thinking this was a cycle turn down. But it’s not, it’s DVD in a digital era and it will continue to diminish until is extinction.
I think it’s only a matter of time until the funds start dropping AGL and it’ll be a complete financial disaster when this happens. Trying to catch hot coal might just leave you with burnt hands.
