Simple Australia is not overpopulated. Drive around the suburbs of any major city you're lucky to see anyone. There's absolutely no reason to lower immigration for the forseeable future. In that context to support the argument of those that seek to blame immigrants for problems that are imaginary (lower standard of living) and most likely stem from their own inadequacies is to support xenophobia.
