Hello all, I thought I would start a new thread for all new & old information for anything relating to Halls Peak. As we know CRR number 1 priority moving forward is the Halls Peak project and it’s easy to see why....
CRR own 2 Exploration Licences in north-eastern NSW (EL4474, EL7679) cover all known areas of extremely high massive sulphide mineralisation; (132 square kilometres)!!! Located in prolific New South Wales base-metal region close to historic and currently producing mines. Some of the notable drilling intercepts to date at the project have come up with enormous high grade results:
•37.2m @ 8.7% Zn, 3.0% Pb, 85g/t Ag, 1.4% Cu
•11.3m @ 15.18% Zn, 8.02% Pb, 597g/t Ag, 1.61% Cu
•11.2m @ 19.71% Zn, 10.77 % Pb, 134.96 g/t Ag, 0.8% Cu
Now if you compare these results with Recent results of another ASX listed base metals exploration company RTR Earaheedy project. RTR has a current MC of $300million (CRR current MC=$24million) it shows the massive potential for upside for shareholders of CRR if the upcoming drill program proves up further unknown high grade reserves.RTR recent notable drill results are:
EHRC061 – 23m @ 4.1% Zn + Pb from 103m EHRC059 – 18m @ 3.06% Zn + Pb from 56m EHRC055 – 11m @ 3.98% Zn + Pb from 68m EHRC051 – 38m @ 1.12% Zn + Pb from 38m EHRC060 – 52m @ 1.65% Zn + Pb from 50m to EOH
EHRC083 - 49m @ 2.45% Zn+Pb from 18m
EHRC087 - 52m of 1.78% Zn+Pb from 126m to EOH
As you can see, the grades that are coming out of the CRR Halls Peak deposits are nothing short of spectacular and the potential is there for an extremely high grade SEDEX style base metals deposit!
The Initial planned 17-hole ~4,000m drilling program to target base-metal hosted massive sulphide mineralisation at the Gibson and Sunnyside projects. Halls Peak has been mined on and off by
small scale miners since the early 1900s. The visible massive sulphide lodes at surface have made it quite easy for local miners to extract the ore. Yet no one to date has made the decision to drill the project out at depth and try to locate the “feeder zone”. All these amazing massive sulphide high grade zones have to come from somewhere and this is exactly what CRR new management team are planning to find!
Re interpretation of VTEM data in 2021 has provided further targets for exploration at Gibsons and Sunnyside. Results display anomalies consistent with potential massive sulphide deposits and multiple deep conductive zones have been identified which create the potential for large zinc-lead-copper-silver bearing beds!!
•Right geological setting, Halls Peak base metal province located in an area of historic high grade massive sulphide mines
•Several shallow, high grade, massive sulphide bodies already discovered
•Major miners consider Halls Peak has potential to host a large base metal deposit
•VTEM conductor around the old Sunnyside Mine fits a typical SEDEX deposit model
•Main conductor setting is analogous to McArthur River Deposit (227Mt ore)
The next few months should really ramp up in terms of exploration activities and news flow regarding this project and I believe this could take CRR to the next level and put us on the map for a whole lot more investors. Exiting times ahead for shareholders! All IMO DYOR
