The only comparison you can use really is Israel and Sweden. Israel vaccinated and Sweden herd immunity. Israel has 786 deaths per million Sweden has 1428 per million. It will be interesting to see which country ends up doing a better job but atm Israel are way ahead. Problem is of course, if what you say in your first post it correct, then herd immunity is way ahead of vaccine for new variants. The other thing to consider is how many lock downs ect has each country had? As we are seeing here there is a price for locking people in their homes endlessly, that price may end up being higher than doing what every other nation is doing. We are the laughing stock atm and our leaders are completely deluded if they think we can go on without getting used to living with Covid.
