From memory the last time Shin-Etsu was mentioned was in the 2014 Annual report, "The MoU with Shin-Etsu Chemical Co. Ltd for toll treatment and off-take of separated rare earths has been extended to 31 December 2014 to enable finalisation of commercial terms and conversion to a binding agreement. With the production of a suite of high purity separated rare earths through this arrangement, discussions are advanced with other customers to acquire those rare earths not required by Shin-Etsu."
This was the second extension of the talks. After that there was no mention so it appears that the discussions did not lead anywhere, they were not mentioned after that as far as I recall.

If we are looking for a location for the plant in Europe, I still think that the mention of Siemens back in 2016/17 may hint where the European metal plant may end up being located. I had high hopes but nothing seems to have happened on that front since then. "MOU for product offtake and supply of process equipment with Siemens Ltd advised in a separate ASX release on 25 October 2016."

Happy to see the shareprice is looking much stronger in the past couple of days. Hope for good news regarding the optimization of the Dubbo plant and news regarding the KMP not to mention the progress on the meeting of the requirements with the Koreans before the end of Sept.
