admittedly the hedge position will still be a drag for a while but the predicted signs are there.
as far as the much vaunted gold price suppression goes, without it surely it would rise against all currencies at the same time if free, therefore no advantage to any one?
it's not as if the yank dollar can be demanded in kind (gold) any more.
