Interesting re BHPB here...
"Meanwhile, BHP Billiton Petroleum has reportedly exercised its option to participate in the ExxonMobil-operated service contract 56 in the Sulu Sea.
The DOE said it had approved BHP’s option to take up a 25% stake in SC56 from Mitra Energy."
They have also recently (July) entered into talks with PNOC-EC for a majority interest in SC59...PNOC-EC are looking to be free carried here.
Given their previous lapsed MOU with OEL in regard to SC55, it is evident BHPB are becoming increasingly more active in the region...perhaps a revisit on SC55 is not out of the question!?
