This isn't some growth stock thats not paying a dividend. The market is betting this stock is a Dividend trap like Telstra was and future dividends are going to be smashed instead of just somewhat easing off their highs. Whether you are a retail punter or billion dollar hedge fund neither has a crystal ball to determine with 100% certainty which way the IO and therefore FMG or any company in that space SP is going or where their dividends are going to be in a year or 5 years from now. Mr market is carrying on that the IO price is going to drop well below $100 a ton and stay there which I dont think is going to be the likely scenario.

Its a calculated bet with retail and institutional holders not having any advantage over the other of the future outllook. Ps I dont bother commenting on the A2M forum any more because of Annie got a gun and your biggest Fan Mr E running off to you know who every time I used to comment over there. You were right despite thinking every time we have a big drop in the market whether its from a GFC or covid like event you think this time its different and going to be long lasting but history has shown they are the best of times to load up.

Even Cathie Woods from Ark invest says in times like that you sacrifice the stocks that have held up and reinvest them into the ones that have beaten down as they are the ones that have upside down the track over the stocks held up that have largely remained unaffected. March 2020 was the best of times in the last decade to of loaded up on stocks. FMG was the biggest ones we loaded up on at the time so with all the dividends since then and to come I believe it will be a top performer in years to come.
