Anybody will always move on to better prospects...the point I was making is the increase in their activity in the region.

I have mentioned before the seeming interest by BHPB in the blocks closer to Borneo, which would/could be on the Sabah play fairway, where some very large discoveries by Murphy etc have been made.

SC55 is the second closest Pines SC to Borneo on the north side of Palawan (where the Sabah play fairway extends)...SC59 is the closest...SC56 is actually closer to Borneo than SC59, but is on the eastern side of Palawan and hence probably not on the same stratigraphic fairway that the big oil people are saying runs from Sabah right up to the southern portion of NDO's SC63.

It is interesting to note that not long after BHPB 'lapsed' the MOU with OEL over SC55, they entered talks with PNOC-EC to acquire a major stake in SC59, but they had to wait til Murphy pulled out of negotiations with PNOC-EC over SC59 before they could make a move...hmmmmm!!

Exxon and Shell are due to start drilling some deep water stuff in the Pines this yr...what would a major find do to OO&G activity in the region??
