100% Agree.
The 4ds diehards are delusional or intentionally leading people the wrong way if they think WD have been funding them for years for free out of the kindness of their T1 heart and then pay market rates to buy them out.
WD imo will have a first option to buy at a large discount to current market rate or something similar.
The day they mentioned they were looking for a buyout only sealed that for me when they had not made those details publicly available. Add to this they have recently changed that tact from looking for a sale post wafer to now sale post chip ready which puts them a couple of years down the road from here.
