TGR is the only fish farming co that can use some of its profit revenue to experiment while all the others are all faking it till they might make it telling fibs or white lies to get more money from unsuspecting shareholders. Some of the managers of the other listed companies are just cunning idiots IMO and BSing themselves around the seafood market as if they know what they doing. Some get to move on to cause more angst in other seafood/fish farming business hopefuls because they are good talkers. Fish farming is expensive using expensive water and electricity and staff & managers with real knowlege is not easy to find. Some say they can have fish farms in Canberra using solar panels to generate electricity.. balderdash I say lol There is no easy way to fish riches unless you can go fish for real seafood in the oceans using experienced fishermen or become a fish retailer maybe but that's not something that gets you interviews on business programs.

There might have been some issues between Huon and TGR which lead to the ABC program and statements therein but the end result was good for the main shareholders of Huon. Sometimes what appears bad publicity ends up being good publicity and more suckers getting drawn into the game thinking there is lots of money in fish farming instead of going out to sea to catch real wild-caught seafood which is what I and most ppl prefer. Governments are full of idealistic greenies who will reduce fishing quotas so Asian trawlers will be able to steal our fish to feed 3 billion ppl living in our northern hemisphere and so TGR is riding the current wave but supermarkets are not just selling TGR smoked salmon stock but also NZ wild-caught and processed in China because it is cheaper whereas fish farming in Australia is always going to be a great deal more expensive to produce and harder to sell because it is NOT Wild Caught being the premium and real seafood. .

Reality is Huon did raise an important issue which TGR should consider. Do we want to eat salmon from polluted waters which is also polluting the bays in Tasmania, so TGR need to look at moving the fish cages further out into the sea where the sea currents can flush the fish feaces away and need to also look at feeding something better than pellets made of chicken offal.

TGR is lucky they have the expertise, the others are just hopefuls and some are worse IMO of course and I have a sell one other listed but the share price went up..it was funny but sad ppl are going to lose their money but that's my opinion only.. anyway enough of my short rant.
