Manganese silicon market review
Futures market: Last week, the manganese silicon disk continued to challenge the 9,000 mark above, and the main contract rose 1% to close at 8818.
Spot market: Confidence in the manganese and silicon spot market has recently strengthened. As the supply side reappears as expected, prices in the north and south main producing areas have continued to rise. Last week, the upward trend continued and the cumulative price increase in the main producing areas was more obvious. As of September 10, the price in the main producing areas of Inner Mongolia was 8450 yuan/ton, an increase of 125 yuan/ton on a week-on-month basis. The prices in the main producing areas of Guangxi were both reported at 8,600 yuan/ton, and the price in the main producing areas of Guizhou was up 250 yuan/ton. As the southern main producing areas are under greater pressure to reduce production recently, the price gap between the north and south main manganese and silicon producing areas has expanded again this week.
