it’s hard to imagine. I think Qantas have 125 odd planes, not too sure how many are owned or leased, but just say a plane has a 25 year life. If the plane had an average cost price of $100m, than how much depreciation has and will hit the fleet? If in the 5 years if the best percentage of plane usage was 30%, wouldn’t that be like a couple of billion? I ain’t a maths person or plane knower but I’d imagine there are larger/long term implications outside of immediate revenue losses that will have to be considered. But then again I bought AGL @ $15 so I’m borderline unintelligent
